I just came back from Greenville, SC for the long weekend. To say BMW enjoys a little hometown pride is an understatement. I think half the males in their 20s had a BMW of some kind. It’s like standard issue. :D
/the other half were brodozers

There are a lot of them running around here. There also seems to be a higher concentration of enthusiast spec cars here as well.

I was hoping to find a Sheetz when I was in PA and Delaware, but I only found Wawa and it was glorious.

It’s BEAUTIFUL... Can gas prices even be that low? Pretty sure I just paid 3.59/gal for 92 the other day...

Went and sat in this over the weekend. I must say the design is lovely and visibility was good (I was legitimately concerned about this since the F30 is noticeably worse than E46/E90). Interior materials left me a little cold if I’m honest. This one was optioned to nearly $67 ,000. Now I’m thinking I need to pare down my desired options to bring the price down to something I feel reflects the build quality.

That white canvas is really PoMo, 10/10

It’s a good price. This is my fill up from yesterday (93):

Mine is a base build with just nav, heated seats, and heated steering wheel. I don’t get the interior materials gripe though.

enjoy - basically a 4dr Supra.
Thinking about a Dinan tune or anything? I work with a guy that did that with his wife’s X5 and is happy with it.

Probably gonna do the Bootmod3 tune. I have a JB4 I pulled off my 430i that will work on the car but I would prefer to do a reflash instead of a piggyback.

Really the two things that didn’t feel quite there were 1) the “aluminum rhombicle” trim, which was way too plasticky and I would like to avoid in favor of the regular aluminum trim and 2) the “preset” buttons were gloss black and also felt cheap. My E90's are better.
Now I’m thinking:
P ythonic blue
Cognac interior
Aluminum trim
Driving Assistance + Driving Assistance Plus (necessary for adaptive cruise control)
Premium Package + Harman Kardon (must get the first to get the second)
Total MSRP with D&H: $64,020.
If I could get that out the door for $60,000 I’d be extremely happy.

FWIW I got the Gray Poplar wood interior. Definitely the best option for interior trim. But with Cognac it would look a little off.

Yeah. My E90 has wood, which I don’t mind! Really, I feel like I’d be pretty satisfied with most combos, so I have to decide how much having exactly what I want is worth to me. The way I see it, if I’m going to buy new, I might as well get exactly what I want. And if I’m going to buy inventory, why not go CPO instead?

So long as its not piano black! Personally, I like the open pore / natural wood in BMW & Mercedes more than the finished stuff. But my current F30 has aluminum, which I like the least.
